The internship role in A-Star involves development of an iOS application for A-Star that helps in smart and intelligent scheduling of reminders and tasks created by the user on their iOS device. The application development follows RUP methodology which involves extensive documentation of all the artefacts and configuration management.

Primary responsibilities are to maintain, enhance and support all the GIS applications used Energy and Utility industries. It includes supporting the front end and back end of GIS thereby ensuring that they are available and running seamlessly as per the client requirements. Discuss with business on the new GIS requirements, develop and deploy the same in the production environment after thorough end to end testing. Involvement in designing the HLD and LLD documents for carrying out the upgrades on the GIS applications. Additionally contributed in resolution of service requests and incidents (issues) as per SLA. Documentation and maintenance of KEDB articles related to GIS and health check of all the GIS applications.Expertise in supporting ArcGIS for desktop, mobile and server, Mapguide - (Autodesk), AutoCAD Map 3D (Autodesk), Mobile GIS - (NorthGate), C-Track (Digicore), MapInfo 8.5 and 11.5 (Pitney Bowes)
