Currently working as an Associate Professor of ABET & NBA accredited Electrical Engineering Program and Associate Head of the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) at Patiala, Punjab in India. I received my Ph.D. (Engineering) in 2012 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. With a combined academic experience exceeding 20.5 years and industrial experience of 3 years, my passion lies in serving as a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering program at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My professional journey spans over 23.5 years, with post-Ph.D. academic engagement of 11.25 years.My research interests are integrating distributed energy resources and the operation, control, protection, and stability of microgrids, an emerging power system. High voltage engineering is another area of interest in my academic profession. I have been working as a faculty in charge of the High Voltage Engineering Laboratory of the Electrical Engineering Department at TIET for the last nine years. In 2022, I achieved recognition as a principal investigator through the award of a DST-SERB Core Research Grant for my project on the Development of Natural Ester Oil-Based Nanofluids with Enhanced Dielectric Properties for Power Transformer Applications.My scholarly contributions include the publication of 27 research papers in esteemed peer-reviewed SCI-indexed journals, 3 research papers in Scopus-indexed journals, and 37 papers in international and national conferences. Furthermore, I have supervised 18 M.E. scholars in Power Systems at TIET, India, and successfully mentored 6 Ph.D. Scholars as of February 2024, with 2 Ph.D. scholars currently under my guidance.Recognized for my achievements, I hold Senior Membership status at IEEE, U.S.A., and maintain Life Memberships at the Metrology Society of India (MSI) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Moreover, I have been serving as an academic editor on the Editorial Board of International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Hindawi, U.K., since April 2023.
