My research is focused on designing semiconductor nanocrystal solutions for optoelectronic and spintronic applications. I have recently defended my Ph.D. thesis with the title “Investigation of Photo-physics and sp-d Exchange Interaction in Perovskite Quantum Dots: Towards the Development of Novel Optoelectronic and Spintronic Materials.”Scholarships and Awards:• ACS Journal of Physical Chemistry Letter best poster presentation award at the PSIM-2023 conference (2023).• All India Rank 153 in Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE) in Chemistry (2018).• Joint five-year research fellowship and lifetime lectureship award (all India rank 71 in December 2017 & all India rank 43 in June 2017) by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India (2017).• Sachidananda Memorial Prize for outstanding Physical and Inorganic Chemistry performance during B.Sc. (2016).• Secured all India rank 203 in IIT-Joint admission for M.Sc. (JAM) Examination (2016).• Selected for a five-year INSPIRE fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for outstanding performance in the 12th standard (2012).• Selected for Merit Cum Means Scholarship for outstanding performance in 10th Standard (2010).• Selected for National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) (2008).Technical Skills:• UV-Vis Absorption Spectrometer• (PL) Spectroscopy, along with Temperature-dependent PL spectroscopy, involves conducting lifetime measurements using a laser source -TCSPC and managing a Cryo-system capable of reaching temperatures as low as 10 K. Additionally, NIR-PL (Near-Infrared PL) and absolute quantum yield measurements are also explored.• I have experience establishing Magnetic Circular Dichroism (MCD) Spectroscopy laboratory, where I worked with a magnetic field of 7 Tesla. Additionally, I am familiar with operating Ultra-high Vacuum and a cryo-system based on Helium, which can reach temperatures as low as 1.5K.• XRD, TEM, ICP-OES, FT-IR, and EPR.• X-ray absorption Fine Structure (XAFS) Spectroscopy of quantum dots for local structure analysis at P64, Petra III, DESY, Hamburg, Germany.• Handling High Energy X-Ray Synchrotron Beamlines at P23, Petra III Hamburg, Germany (2D-XRD); and BL-18B KEK Tsukuba, Japan (Temperature-dependent XRD).• Device fabrication based on perovskite solar cells and their characterization.• Software: Microsoft Office, Origin, Image-J, Digital Micrograph, Ultra ChemDraw, Athena, Artemis, Dawn Diamond, Xpert HighScore, VESTA.
