Role And Responsibility Coordinate and work with OS/ Hardware vendors like Microsoft, IBM, and HP. Windows server OS Build, Updates (patching), Access management, troubleshooting, disk space monitoring and performance tuning 2003/2008/2012. administration of Windows Active directory 2008/ 2012 environment. This comprises of Root Domain controller, Addition domain controllers, and RODC servers. Group Policy Management –  Managing DNS Servers/ Service management, creation of new zones, Creation/modification /deletion of resource records and C records, Creation of conditional forwards and user related DNS issues.  Managing almost 10 different physical/logical sites and related AD and DNS replications. Managing 4 different domains which include internal /external production, internal /external test environment and respective trusts between them. Administration of VMware Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) - VDI Resource pool creation, User /group access management. Resource management for VMware View infrastructure. Decommission / refresh tasks and User related issue handling. VMware Sphere administration –Tasks like resource update of VMs (CPU, RAM, HDD etc.) and maintenance activities like reboot, Vmotion of hosts, snap shot etc. Experience in handling Remote support Tools like HP ILO, IBM RSA and firmware upgradation. Maintaining DHCP Servers and services –DHCP scope creation, reservation and Troubleshooting DHCP related issues. Working on Request Management, Incident management, Change Management process and problem management. File server Management and access management-Creation of new shares, quota and permission management. Creation of PowerShell scripts and Automation tasks for the user related environment. Document creations related to infrastructure like –Service level diagram, flow chart, SOP’s and KT documents and Reports like Availability and alert analysis.

 Supporting all Server OS like 2000, 2003, 2008 and OS deployment and performance tuning. Jointly working with various application/project teams to fix OS related issue and performance tuning. Designing ,Configuring and Managing Active Directory Services on Windows2003 /2008 Configuring and Managing DNS,DHCP,IIS,FTP  Taking care of server administration tasks such as creating of user & group accounts, Assigning of permissions to resources, backups  Scheduled maintenance activities, Patching using WSUS and Hardware maintenance. Identifying and escalating hardware related issues to vendor.  Coordinating with Microsoft for resolving escalated critical issues.  Analyzing and evaluating customer requirements by coordinating with the customer to define the problem, data availability, report requirements and system design problems. Configuring and maintaining SCOM related issues.  Working on VMware related issues in level 1.-Creating VM shells,  snapshots, clone, resource pools, templates Tasks like resource update of VMs (CPU, RAM, HDD etc.) and maintenance activities like reboot, Vmotion of hosts, snap shot etc.
