I am an Agricultural Scientist serving as the Director of Research in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at SGT University in Gurugram, India. With 16 years of diverse experience in agricultural research, I started my career as a research fellow in ICAR institutes, namely ICAR-IIPR and ICAR-NIPB. Subsequently, I served four international institutes across three different countries, including IRRI Philippines (2008-2013), CIMMYT Mexico (2013-2017), CIP Peru (2019), and ICBA UAE (2020-2022). Additionally, I have contributed my expertise to a multinational seed company based at ICRISAT (2022-2023).My extensive national and international experience, coupled with my connections within ICAR, underscores my robust networking capabilities. Throughout my tenure at IRRI and CIMMYT, I successfully engaged in fundraising endeavors, notably securing approximately $3.3 million USD for the CIMMYT-BISA center from the state government of Punjab in 2016. Project management has been a cornerstone of my responsibilities, with independent handling of research projects at IRRI, CIMMYT, and ICBA.My leadership in research is evidenced by my publications, where I have led multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary teams. Thriving in multicultural and multi-disciplinary research environments, I am confident in tackling challenging assignments. Furthermore, I provide consultancy services to a media group. My contributions to academia include over 55 research articles with over 4000 citations.
