• Developed bio-based TPE solutions containing up to 60% bio-renewable content for consumer market for Teknor Apex licensee while maximizing the overall use of proprietary thermoplastic starch technology. • Conducted laboratory-scale experiments for demonstrating proof of concept and scaled up to pilot scale. • Managed research laboratories and secured two patents.

Identified fundamental morphology mechanism and control in developmental ExxcoreTM DVA product intended for advanced tire innerliner application for the ExxonMobil Chemical Company and Yokohama Rubber Company. Designed several different systematic experiments (DOEs) to decouple reactions occurring while melt processing, morphology changes due to blending, and phase inversion forced by reactions to capture physical and chemical changes within product. Wrote research proposals to funding agencies. Served as jury member, director, and mentor for graduate and undergraduate students.
