I am currently a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon focusing on computer security. I have a particular interest in cryptography and how cryptographic tools can be leveraged to help open democracy prosper. Currently, much of my attention is occupied by developing architectures for Self-Sovereign Identity and making progress on various theoretical problems related to Zero Knowledge Proofs. Assisted Professor Aaditya Rangan in modeling neuronal dynamics in adolescent rat brains in order to confirm analytical results. In order to do this, I developed a MATLAB experimental testing suite for the null hypothesis that sleep-cycle randomness is generated by steadily changing input current from from the Locus Coeruleus in a bi-stable simple firing-rate model with isotropic gaussian noise. This resulted in qualitative simulation of observed sleep cycles in adolescent rat populations.

"Meta-Chess" is a hypothetical chess variant described in Douglas Hofstadter's "Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid". However, it's design as a self-modifying game is not fleshed out. Once reading the book, I developed an instantiation of "Meta-Chess" with larger interests in the generic principles of designing self-modifying games such as, for example, democratic political systems. This work was done under the supervision of game theorist Adam Brandenberger and doctoral candidate in economics as well as chess International Master Raja Panjwani.

During my gap year, I moved to San Francisco on a fellowship to help start a new middle school rooted in the most up-to-date understanding of the developmental psychology of 11-13 year-olds. My main focus was designing a disciplinary system that doubles as a restorative justice program. This was presented in a 30-page white paper that surveyed the relevant literature and provided a description of the design. Aside from this, I used Google AdWords to improve the school's visibility in specific demographics and regions.
