My study focuses on Finite element methods in the field of Mechanics and Dynamics.I completed my Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore in 2018. During my Bachelor's, I was part of the student team 'SAENIEKS', which participated in the off-road car competition BAJA. I was involved in designing and Manufacturing of steering and suspension subsystems. As part of the team, I gained immense interest and experience in the field of CAE, CAD and vehicle dynamicsI went on to do my Bachelor's thesis in the field of Modal Analysis and published the research paper "Development of an Algorithm to Obtain the Mode Shapes of a Cantilever Beam Experimentally". I also did an internship at Automotive Axles limited where I focused on reducing the assembly time of truck axles.After my Bachelor's, I worked as a 'CAE Analysis Engineer' at Actalent (Formerly EASi) for 2 years. I was deputed on-site at Ford GTBC, Chennai, where I worked in the crash analysis team. I was involved in Meshing and connections of BIW and plastic components for Crash Analysis.I've working experience in CAE softwares such as Ansa, Hyperworks, Ansys and CAD softwares such as UG-NX, Catia and Solidworks and Vehicle dynamics softwares such as Lotus Shark and Adams. - Conducted fully and sequentially coupled Structural-Acoustic analysis to calculate sound pressurelevel (SPL) around a wind turbine’s Gearbox by using far-field boundary conditions.
- Conducted multi body dynamic analysis in Simpack to get the surface velocities of the Gearbox.
- Transferred the vibration data from Simpack to Abaqus to conduct a steady-state dynamic analysisin Abaqus by using acoustic infinite elements.
- Optimized the simulation time by effectively using the sub-structuring capability of Abaqus byperforming a component mode synthesis.
- Developed a python code using the library “Boundary element method python package (BEMPP)” to calculate SPL around the gear box and validated it with the results from Abaqus.
- Utilized pandas to extract and organize complex velocity data from a.dat file, seamlessly integrating it into Python for loading into BEMPP as a GridFunction for gearbox simulations.
