- Lead design and development of new features on the web security product line.- Work closely with a cross functional team of Product Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, Customer Support to understand the real customer problem and come up with the right solution to solve the customer needs.- Collaborate with other developers and test engineers on the design, development and testing of the features.- Extend capabilities in existing systems to cater to new security threats.Additional Responsibility: Security advocate for Cisco Web Security. - Maintain & improve security compliance for each release. - Ensure that anti-counterfeiting & tamper proof security measures are built it to the product prior to release- Ensure that 3rd party software used are accurately registered for use.- Create and maintain the threat model for Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA)- Participate in the monthly security advocate community meetings within Cisco & strive towards improving the security posture of Cisco WSA product.Certifications: Cisco Certified Security Ninja Blue Belt.

- Participate in design, development, integration and testing of the software code. - Use design documents to implement the identified software components.- Review user requirements and requests for new features for potential inclusion in future releases of the product.- Ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product.- Perform peer reviews for implemented defects and features.- Develop fixes for defects identified in the System verification tests, performance tests and other tests that are a part of the software development life cycle.- Develop in-depth understanding of the environment to test the code fix, understand and articulate the impact on other components in the product. - Maintain the existing software code and provide defect fixes to external users when required.- Review lifecycle requirements and update external support statements periodically.- Prepare and/or update manuals and documentation related to the product.- Review existing processes, solutions and work towards improving them.- Perform research and comparative analysis of other products in the market and explore areas for improvement.
