I have always had an aptitude for mathematics and science. Engineering was a natural choice to pursue and my early technical roles provided me with opportunities to model solutions using data and develop problem solving skills. While coming up with technical solutions is intrinsically rewarding, I increasingly came to realize that I derived the most satisfaction in providing solutions that integrate business and customer needs.The medical device industry has provided me with many opportunities to work on solving problems that help save lives, improve patient care and reduce cost of healthcare. I have developed new physiological parameters to expand non-invasive clinical monitoring to new care areas, designed algorithms to improve performance of existing sensors/products and optimized algorithms to lower production complexity and costs.I am an engineering leader with over 15 years of industry experience and 8 years of leadership experience in managing end-to-end product development. My strength is to understand the customer’s (in my case a clinician’s) perspective of a problem and design data driven solutions. I have mentored and trained new hires, developed hiring strategies and built teams, coordinated product development across different functional teams and delivered successful products.I spend my time learning and reading about data science, machine learning, medical devices and technology in general. I enjoy interacting with people and playing tennis to recharge myself.
