I have done extensive field surveys and had the opportunity to work alongside the artisans of various crafts. My special interest is handcrafted textiles, home décor, and apparels.I am a fashion enthusiast and passionate designer at expressing & creating significant designs. All my designs depict the details inspired by nature and the issues occurring around us. The best part of being a creator is that one can ideate with anything and everything.My forte is creating unique prints and pattern designs for every collection. My designs are customized and tailor-made as I take utmost care in bringing out even the smallest details as per the client’s taste. Textile Designer | Intern
I have ideated and developed two different concepts for kids’ home décor collections. For this project, I have meticulously curated the designs, starting from its concept creation to the final product. The designs are developed in such a way as to attract kids. I have designed cartoon character motifs for each collection depicting the theme. The motifs are designed digitally and woven in jacquard looms. The woven motifs were then patchworked on various products like toy baskets, bedspreads, cushions, Toddler bags, playmats, etc.One of the most important aspects of designing for kids is the comfort and functionality of the product. I was appreciated and complimented for my good work in completing the project ahead of schedule and within the budget.

As a part of this internship, I have researched and analyzed few handicrafts of Andhra Pradesh by visiting to the respective towns to learn about the crafts. I have learnt each craft by interacting with the Senior Master craftsmen of the respective crafts cluster under the Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh Handicraft’s Development Corporation Guidance. The personal interaction with the artisans helped me to gain a lot of knowledge about the process and how the products are developed. To start with, I visited the town of Kondapalli and met the artisans making Kondapalli wooden toys. I also travelled to Pedana, the kalamkari hub, interacted with the artisans there to learn entire process of block printing and dyeing. Further travelled to Pallakollu, the forte of Crochet lace, and then to Dharmavaram which is known for its Leather puppetry.
