Beginning his career with SG Warburg (London) in 1983; Prashant headed S. G. Warburg & Co’s Fixed Interest Sales Desk in Singapore. In 1991 he left to head his family businesses - headquartered in Hong Kong with activities in India and Southern Africa. He set up the Multi-Act Family Office in 1998 with an emphasis on independent research and developing the family offices internal capabilities to invest in various asset classes in the global markets. What began as an Equity Research capability for managing the founders’ personal wealth is now servicing a range of clients from wealthy families, business owners to institutional investors and capital intermediaries around the globe. As a follower of the Austrian School of Economics; Prashant subscribes to the belief that the restoration of the Gold Standard, or some variation of it, is the best hope for bringing about economic equity and real growth. He has also delivered various lectures about the Austrian economic framework and its implications for Global Markets in various forums and seminars.He is passionate about Wildlife and especially Big Cat conservation, Indian classical music, Jazz and Rugby Union.
