As a part of the Public Engagement team at Oxfam India, I played a key role in raising unrestricted and CSR funds and promoting awareness about Oxfam India’s initiatives. My primary responsibilities included:Corporate Outreach: Educating corporates about Oxfam India's work and encouraging them to participate in and sponsor our flagship fundraising event, Oxfam India Trailwalker.Team Recruitment: Convincing corporates to send teams of four to participate in the Trailwalker event, which involved walking 50km in 24 hours or 100km in 48 hours in Mumbai and Bangalore.Sponsorship Procurement: Securing sponsorships for team participation and fundraising efforts, as well as overall event sponsorship.Partnership Coordination: Working closely with internal and corporate teams to finalize partnership terms, including branding and visibility.Practice Sessions: Organizing practice walks in Mumbai to help participants prepare for the event.Fundraising Support: Providing tools and support to help teams raise funds.Event Support: Assisting with logistical support during the Expo day and throughout the event, including distributing bibs and jerseys and providing end-to-end support to the Oxfam team.Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):Corporate Outreach: Meeting with corporates to educate them about Oxfam India's work.Proposal Sharing: Sharing proposals and budgets with interested corporates.Due Diligence: Providing necessary documents for due diligence.Agreement Finalization: Coordinating with internal teams and corporates to finalize terms before signing the MOU.Project Implementation: Coordinating with program and on-ground execution teams for successful project implementation.Reporting: Sharing fund utilization certificates with corporates after successful project implementation.

Public Engagement Team Member for Habitat for Humanity IndiaI contributed to creating awareness and raising funds for Habitat for Humanity India's vision of providing everyone with a decent place to live. This initiative was in collaboration with the Government of India's Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. My key responsibilities included:School Outreach: Contacting schools in Gujarat and Mumbai to conduct awareness sessions, educating students about the challenges faced by underprivileged communities in rural and tribal India regarding shelter, sanitation, and water scarcity.Fundraising: Encouraging students to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s initiatives.Community Development Coordination: Coordinating with schools and corporates to involve students and employees in community development programs, such as building homes, constructing sanitation units, painting schools, distributing water wheels, and participating in tree plantation drives in rural and tribal areas.Program Monitoring: Acting as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for schools and corporates, overseeing the participants during community development programs.Marathon Participation: Coordinating with schools to fundraise and send students to represent Habitat for Humanity in the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM).Registration and Coordination: Registering students on the United Way Mumbai website for TMM participation and providing end-to-end coordination during the event to ensure student safety.Reporting: Sharing timely reports with schools to update them on the progress and impact of various initiatives and activities carried out by Habitat for Humanity.
