Petra Christian University is one of the well-known and prestigious private university in Surabaya. Established in 1961, Petra Christian University is listed as top 100 university in South-East Asia, and top 10 of private university in Surabaya.One of the well known major is informatics. Working as one of the lecturer of IT in Petra, i’ve been teaching computer security, which taught the student the art of managing computer and server security, majorly in linux based system; cryptography, which taught the basic theory of cryptography, and the application of cryptography and steganography in computer system; mobile security, which taught the student of the basic of android and ios security model, how to secure mobile platform, and how to make a secure mobile system.

Working on any kind of software and development request from any sources. Some example of the finished works are:1. Simple and Unrecorded Queuing Application with client-server function based on .NET2. Member system with point function for a board game cafe based on PHP and HTML (own framework)3. Simple social media that is related to food industry, that have similar function to zomato based on PHP, HTML, and Android Studio*note: project halted in mid-way due to lack of UI Designer, budget, marketing, and user*4. A Website for the immigrants to get information of the suburb they are planning to live in, and/or for immigrants to search for a suburb with some criterias that matches their needs. Based on PHP with CodeIgniter framework.*note: Project is finished, and owned by university as a part of final year project.5. Simple and working complete linux-based server that is composed of FTP server, WEB server, SQL Database Server, POP3 Mail Server with encryption and database, SSH Server, and few firewalls to protect the overall server with INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM, protection against DDoS, attempt of unauthorized login, automation to keep the server up-to-date, firewall rules to stop intrusion attempt.

PT. Global Platinum is one of the big contractor of heavy-industry that works in constructing public facility for the government.A short description about the situation of the company before i joined in:A freelance contractor from Surabaya, Indonesia has worked in numbers of government project that is related to procuring government agencies (such as television station), with equipments, softwares, and services. However, due to the shortage of how an individual can do, she feels the needs to join-venture with another company to enlarge her scope of work. As a result, she worked together with PT. Global Platinum Engineer as a joint-venture relationship, with me as a director representative from Surabaya.As i joined the company, there are obstacles that i am facing, that are:- Shortage of the number of workers- Absence of people that can be trusted to observe how the joint-venture works- Newly developed relationship from heavy industry and light industryAs i am facing the obstacles, and faced with the work condition, i did the following actions:- Procuring TV recording equipment for RCTI Television Network office, such as drones, PC, laptop, and video recording equipment- Providing a government child-company with the requested special kind of fabric for their workers- Monitoring the joint-venture relationship by supervise the result of the work- Representing the company branch on the main branch- Managing the newly created officeAnd the result of my action were:- Audio and Video Recording equipment procured for RCTI networks- Best quality of clothing materials that is provided for the said child company- Working stage of piping project from PT. PEGASOL as a project acquired by PT. Global

Working as a software developer in internship as a part of final year programme at fontys university of applied science. Situation:SMS-Timing, a child company of Business & Marketing Improvement, that works in providing a karting arena software and hardware, feels that the platform for their current software is getting outdated, and will be replaced by a newer platform. Therefore, they decided to developer their current software to a newer platform, that obviously have more function and advantages to the previous platform. However, they have a shortage of in house developer, and to hire an off-shore developer adds a new obstacle since they are using their own framework to develop the software.Obstacle:- Shortage of in house programmer that understands the framework they are using- Large scope of work that needs to be updated in the amount of time- Technology gap, and migration to an unfamiliar environment of coding- Usage of unique frameworks that is developed by their own.- Multifunctionality of the software they provide, which results in more number of application and function that they need to be migrated.Action:- At the first few weeks, learn and understanding how their working environment are; such as their flow of work, their customer, how their software works, how did the old software accomodates, how their software and platform communicates to each other.- In the same time-frame, studying how the new platform works, how their frameworks environment are.- Work as a full-time developer in 4-5 months to create one part of their software, which is POS system. Result:- Alpha stage of the Point Of Sales system- More developed and structured database system, that is being used as a foundation for all of their new system.- New idea to help with developing other parts of their system
