Negotiating with the vendors for cost-effective purchase and transport solutions and expediting material/equipment to ensure delivery schedules are maintained or improved. Making a vital contribution in identifying, evaluating, negotiating & finalization of Contractors / Service providers for all projects whilst working closely with the Project Managers and planning engineers to meet deadlines. Handling receipt of purchase requisition (PR) to finalization of PO in accordance as per the Purchasing Policy Procedure and Operating Manual.I am responsible for proposing and approving a list of the qualified bidder and preparing inquiry packages incorporating all commercial technical and inspection requirements, where specified and issue accordingly. Conducting follow up with bidders to ensure timely submission of bids and to carry out opening of bids after bid closing dates as per the delegation of authority. Negotiating for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery, and service) with suppliers and subcontractors assigned. Coordinating with Finance in order to take care the Project’s other financial obligations, i.e. Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credits and Advance Payments is made on time to avoid delay in the delivery of the ordered items.
