Well, there's still so much ground to cover, but my time in the corporate realm for a solid year truly sculpted me into a well-rounded professional and more importantly a refined individual.From a work perspective, during that relatively short span, I received exposure at end-to-end statutory audits of a Listed company and its subsidiaries. Tackling strict deadlines taught me the art of prioritization and efficient task management under intense pressure.Additionally, my communication skills received a substantial boost while collaborating with a sizable team across various engagements. Interacting with numerous client personnel significantly enhanced my interpersonal abilities and cemented my prowess in relationship building.Overall, my comprehensive exposure to the intricate world of Statutory Audit has been invaluable. Yet, personally, I firmly believe that irrespective of the extent of one's exposure, there's always room for further learning and refinement.Now, delving into the technical aspect, I delved deep into complex areas such as Ind AS 115 - Revenue, focusing on the evaluation of EPC Contracts and turnkey Projects. The contracts were focused on Laying of Optical Fibre Cable and network integration for large telcos in India and government institutions. Scrutinising estimated project costs, encompassing both Direct costs and project overheads, alongside analyzing project margins, formed the crux of my responsibilities.Moreover, I assumed responsibility for handling various financial statement areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and related disclosures as per Ind AS and Companies Act, 2013, both at a standalone and consolidated level of the financials, during my tenure working on the statutory audit of listed entities and their subsidiaries.
