1) To be responsible for managing the full import process for a shipment for specified accounts, from start to finish.2) Assist with pricing negotiations of customers proposals.3) Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system.4) Conduct oral presentations, field research and cost revisions.5) To manage and oversee imported goods into a country.6) Coordinate with finance for timely payment of customs duty & also payment to Vendors & service providers as per the agreed payment terms.7) Works together with the logistics operators and customs to plan and track shipments, and ensure goods are cleared through customs.8) To maintain and regularly update a pricing history database.9) Collaborate with customs brokers facilitate smooth customs clearance process.10) Stay updated on changes in customs law and regulations, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.

Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and/or quotations for LCL, FCL, air shipments and all services within our client’s database.Display a thorough understanding of industry-related terminology and processes.Strategize ways of increasing profits margins, while keeping cost at a minimum.Assist the sales team with business development and securing new business initiatives.Work with the pricing, operations and accounting team.Follow and implement FMC compliance and procedures.Keep abreast with the freight worldwide market and provide the information to all parties.Communicate with management on pricing desk performance and any issues that arise.Follow up of quotations as needed and communicate the positive or negative feedback in respect of being able to source the competitive rate to support the closure of all business opportunities.Manage the login of all quotes and follow up into our client’s proprietary CRM.Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.Data entry in CargoWise system as required.Perform other related duties and projects as requested or assigned by management.Understand clients’ needs in order to strategy the costing and or pricing.
