About Pratik Rao

Brand & business strategist with a decade of expertise in Marketing Strategy, Brand Management, and New Business Strategy. I began my professional career with the Tata Group, developing & executing strategic initiatives under the Tata Group Chairman's mandate, driving physical and digital distribution and product synergies across the Group's financial services companies. Part of a 2 member team dually reporting to Tata Sons and Tata Capital, our work led to the creation of alternate channel business verticals within the FS cluster that had a Group cross-sell & up-sell focus.In 2017-18, I made the switch to entrepreneurship. A wonderful 7 year journey as Co-Founder & CEO of NutraSphere, where with innovative products like soups, shakes, snacks and breakfast mixes infused with natural, proven active ingredient blends, we were able to compete with the biggest brands despite being a bootstrapped, family run brand.While the learning curves were steep, I was satisfied to have led NutraSphere, transitioning from what began as an offline recommendation-based business model and a purely 'nutrition business' to an online-first D2C healthy FMCG venture by 2020, navigating it through the post-COVID landscape. Over the last 7 years, I've also been working with health-focused D2C startups, delivered high-impact strategy consulting through Zantech Consulting- a family owned product and strategy consulting company.Now looking forward to the next stage of my career.
