I was always a tinkerer by nature - engineering seemed a choice as easy as breathing. But then I heard of a course called polymer engineering, and that began a rollercoaster ride that continues today. It's taken me to the Maharashtra Institute of Technology for my bachelor's in polymer engineering, and on to the University of California - Irvine for a master's in materials science and engineering. I began my professional career with rubber technology, earning a patent for an antimicrobial formulation, and followed it up with another change of pace to steam engineering for the past year and a half, where more innovation follows. I generally enjoy executing projects with a great deal of care - think twice and hopefully you'll get something wrong only once. Field of inquiry I've worked in so far are artificial muscles, polymeric shock absorbers, nanobubbles, medical and sports goods made of rubber, recycling mixed polyolefin waste, and in my current position, where I design, choose materials for and do fundamental research on all things steam and energy transfer.I've also taught applied chemistry and animal art, published my first book, and love to travel on two wheels!
