Working as Design Manager on hospitality projects for one of the esteemed client for Archetype. We have been appointed as Project Manager for all there projects. Pre-construction period is critical in the project life cycle when project budget and construction schedule is decided upon.

Project Manager for world’s tallest statue – ‘Statue of Unity’ (http://www.statueofunity.in/). A Consortium consisting Turner Project Management, Michael Graves Associates and Meinhardt was shortlisted and appointed for the project. The current phase of the project includes – 183m high statue along with exhibition centre cum museum in its base located on Sadhu island, bridge connecting island, internal roadway approximately 5 km long, hotel/convention centre and visitor centre building. Meinhardt’s role is to design all the engineering aspect related to project: civil, structure, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, vertical transportation, highway, geotech review, river engineering, bridge etc. Primary role was to oversee and to manage the entire design process, attending design workshops/meetings/video conference, presentation to client, attending the prospective bidder conference, queries preparing broad cost, operation & maintenance cost, continual coordination with consultants and in-house teams to produce tender package for international bidding, replying to bidders query etc.During tenure at Meinhardt, have also worked on the most luxury residential project of the region, hospitality projects and various residential townships / group housing projects across the nation. Here, I am the key member for a 5 star equivalent hospitality project consisting of night club, cafe and fine dining. I had been involved and responsible for design management, material selection, negotiating & finalising vendors / suppliers / contractors.

Project co-ordination, consolidate and issue work packages as per project plan. Site visits and resolving site related construction issues. Assist Divisional Director and Technical Managers, organise meetings, taking MOM, producing progress reports and presentations. Gathering information required by construction manager, explore & propose alternative products which suit the budget as well as specification, coordination with contractors, consultants and colleagues. Developing technical details in accordance to NBS, working on C-sheets and RDS. Delivering quality projects on time, within budget and to achieve excellence in construction by using variety of modern/long lasting materials with precise detailing.
