Client-facing role designing wireframes, mockups and strategizing web-based solutions for a scalable project funding multiple research projects and showcasing expertise at UoN and NTU.

As subject head, I lead many modules such as Internet Application Programming, Data Visualization and UX and Apprenticeship modules. I specialise in teaching and researching in Data Visualization techniques that include programming languages like HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript6, XML, JSON, SQL, as well as Object oriented languages like Python, OOPHP etc. I also work and research the design elements of development process and regularly publish in this domain in many HCI journals. I am also involved in creating online material and enjoy this aspect thoroughly.

Working with VIT, QAA and Industry partners from India and UK to build industry readiness focused smart curriculum for the value-added courses and a method of personalised delivery for learning industry 4.0 technologies which cannot be taught, learned or assessed in traditional ways (e.g. hackathon instead of exams)

Students with disabilities have limited access to HE (Higher Education) in India and Bangladesh. This project aims to tackle this issue by making accessible HE OERs (Open Education Resources) and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), and personalisation using AI (Artificial Intelligence), that will enable better provision of open distance learning for those that experience architectural barriers.

As Lead UX researcher and designer, led a team to help elicit key requirments for local businesses to design mobile apps. Tasks included conducting user interviews, surveys, design generations, user acceptance testing, technical communication and presentation.

I am module leader for Interface Technology, Internet Application development and critical subject area expert for Professional Software Engineering Practice modules taught at levels 4, 5 and 6 for the Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Technology programs that the university offers. I am also supervisor and researcher within Interactive Systems Research Group. The strategy for such task is to keep overall program coursework in mind and creating material that suits different learning methods for engaging the students. I also try to keep the larger employability perspective in mind. To maintain highest standard of education, I work closely with the module leaders and such material is promptly made available to students through university VLE. This includes contributing to reading lists and research materials, enhancing student experience by delivering engaging lectures and practical demonstration during workshops & tutorials that suits the students’ different learning styles. An important part of the role has been to support the student journey through the facilitation of effective tutorial activities and one-to-one support. I concern with student involvement in the classroom and enable this with the use of technology-aided learning to using university VLE as well as other tools such as e-portfolio tool called PebblePad etc. The soft skills required for this job included providing pastoral care, mentoring and motivating students to enhance their performance and improve their overall learning experience.

As academic tutor at The Manchester Metropolitan University, I am part of School of Computing, Mathematics and Digital Technology with a research focus in Human-Computer Interaction. My research looks at the use of technology for collaboration through concepts of Open Design, Community participation, and Social media. As researcher I have focused on the role of Open design that happens at MakerSpaces and their current and future contributions to manufacturing and business industry. The EPSRC funded project is a basis for creating collaborative innovation platform at local level that enhances the influence and penetration of an organization in corporate sector. I have also contributed to student workbooks, created using Innovative technologies such as PebblePad. This resource has been used extensively alongside the university VLE (Blackboard) I have been able to contribute new learning materials for distance learning and have used both PebblePad and Blackboard for electronic submissions and the creation of portfolio materials. The contract started as a Business Analyst for a E-business solutions project. The responsibility included Systems Designing and co-ordinating with development team through a team leader. The reports enabled co-ordination between multi-disciplinary members, with client and board of directors from business background, project manager and three other team members from Programming background, a systems security consultant, a database management consultant, a graphic designer and an interaction designer.

Research on education system specifically child-led education systems.Analyzing North-east England based on economic standing, strengths and drawbacks of current education systems.Developing a detailed and scholarly report on proper schooling system appropriate for North-east England.

The consultation included detailed Analysis and development of pay-roll system, volunteer recruitment system and Online interaction between key stakeholders through personal profile system. Also the project required Database development for Computerization and Web based intercative access for interested party. The project concluded with successful implementation of system, client training and user training sessions.
