I am a postgraduate in Counselling Psychology, and have worked diverse communities, including adults and children in low-income communities, corporate employees and educators. I have experience of running my own private therapy practice, where I work with chldren and adults with socioemotional concerns, including (but not limited to) relationship & family distress, anxiety, abuse and situational concerns. I am a trained group facilitator, and have conducted group sessions using expressive arts and other modalities for parent & children groups, destitute women with mental illness, patients in a de-addiction centre and corporate employees. I also have experience of writing for blogs for mental health awarness targeted towards different audiences, as I believe awareness and knowledge need to be built and shared consistently. I co-run a community mental health initiative called Bhaava (meaning: emotions) which caters to making mental health accessible through group spaces (support groups, workshops, etc) for various concerns, and aims to pulg gaps in the self-care and professional growth domains for Helping Professionals. As a mental health professional, I follow a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, through arts, play and conversations. I believe in mental health for all, through personal journeys of reflection and connection, as well as working with systems for advocacy and change.
