Reservoir Characterization Instrument (RCI): The Reservoir Characterization Instrument is a wire-line service down-hole tool, which measures dynamic formation pressure data and obtains representative fluid samples at selected wellbore depths. The RCI tool is lowered in the wellbore at a selected depth and it measures the parameters like drawdown volume, bore-hole pressure, temperature etc. that helps understanding the formation pressure, flow rate, mobility, compressibility, and characteristics of the formation fluid.
