The work involves - personalizing content and suggestions for users through recommendation systems, user profiling based on his web print, building a semantic job search through synonymy and taxonomy of job domains, designing different metrics on the data for better insights.

The focus of my research is to develop algorithms for faster search and retrieval of document image collections.In todays world, there is a lot of document content available in digitized form. Hence, there is a need to be able to search and retrieve through these collections for the information a user needs. OCR is one such method which converts the document images into their respective text and then a text based retrieval can be performed over the recognized text using standard text retrieval systems. But OCR’s are not robust and available for many languages. So, the search and retrieval has to be performed without recognizing the text.In my research, I proposed a novel method to search and retrieval a document collection (be it any language) without recognizing the text. The method proposed overcomes many problems that a word-spotting algorithm cannot.
