As a Design Engineer at Scantech Laser PVT.LTD., I was instrumental in the design and development of cutting-edge laser systems, including:• Tablet Marking machine – Engineered a high-precision 40 W air-cooled CO2 laser system coupled with galvanometer technology for tablet marking. Implemented a 3-axis ballscrew driven linear actuators and pharmaceutical-grade fixture for precise tablet positioning.• Laser cutting machine – Engineered a 4 KW CO2 Laser cutting machine with an in-house designed cutting head having conformal cooling, automatic sheet focus mechanism and Hydraulically controlled pallet changing mechanism.• Laser grooving machine – This machine can groove 2 connecting rods in a single cycle. It required creating a carriage plate and fixture configuration integrated with Poka-Yoke mechanism to groove 3 different kinds of connecting rods at once. It also included creating the drive mechanism for swivel action grooving head.• Tablet drilling machine – The machine was designed to pierce tablet coating in a continuous production run. It was equipped with Hopper, Inspection, Production & Rejection stations so it could operate without a human operator and on its own.• Laser grooving machine – With the ability to groove 4 connecting rods in a single setup and the ability to laser mark connecting rods, this is the most promising development in the connecting rod grooving area. It entailed designing and integrating index tables with 4 linear and 1 rotating axis.• Laser cutting machine – It is Linear motor driven moving gantry machine using 4 KW CO2 Laser and automatic motorized pallet changer for moving cutting bed in and out of machine. Whole machine structure was made in only two fabricated parts. This machine is of overall size 10 meter by 5 meter and weighs 14 ton in total.
