As a Foundryman: I am leading the Ferrous foundries- Mangalam Steelcast Pvt Ltd & Siena Engineering Pvt Ltd- as a Technical Director in both. Being a second generation foudryman mainly looking after new product development, improving the technical capabilities, enhancing the quality, optimizing the process & cost and improving the working environment in the foundry. I firmly believes in continuous improvement to bring positive changes in the foundry. Apart from this I am also a part of unique service provider - Wear Fighters - where we providing complete wear solutions for various applications like hard-faced wear parts for Foundry Sand Mixers, Bricks Industry, Ceramic Industry etc and wear resisting plates etc. I am also active in various industrial association and presently serving as Chairman in The Institute of Indian Foundrymen Association (IIF) - Western Region, previously held the position of Chairman from IIF - Vadodara Chapter. I am also a member of Managing Council Committee of Federation of Small Scale Industry (FSSI).

Reseach ProjectsCornell University Oct 2008 - May 2009• Constructed Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) to generate electricity from wastewater (no other external sources) and Microbial Electrolysis Cells (MECs) to produce Hydrogen gas (H2) from wastewater & small external voltage. Developed an structure to couple both MEC and MFCs to produce H2 gas using only wastewater and no other external sources, i.e. MEC was powered by MFCs for external voltage.• Designed a model for thermo-chemical pretreatment & enzymatic hydrolysis processes for ethanol production from switch-grass to have theoretical estimation of concentration of final products on varying various parameters & also to know the behavior of these products in reactors in different conditions.• Worked on the project of bioremediation of chloroethene contaminated sites. -
Undergraduate ProjectsIt-Bhu 2006 - 2008• Studied the Carbon monoxide emission concentration in 3 & 4 wheeler power driven on-road automobiles and computed the violation statistics with respect to European emission standards in Varanasi, India.• Evaluated the hazards caused due to improper handling of Waste Electrical & Electronics Equipment (WEEE) & developed the appropriate strategy for its management and safe disposal, which can be effectively applied for developing countries.• Assessed the feasibility of developing eco-industrial Park in rural areas (sustainable development) using biomass power plant at the centre of cluster and with an aim to develop an industrial chain so as to finally reach to near zero-waste. -
Summer FellowIndian Institute Of Technology, Kanpur May 2007 - Jun 2007• Assessed air quality of the ambient concentrations of various air pollutants (SO2, NO2, PM10, CO, Ozone, Elemental & Organic Carbon) and performed emission inventory and the source apportionment studies in Kanpur city, India. • Reviewed current air quality standards/criteria in India. Listed out 16 pollutants of which dose-response on human health were studied and proposed new ambient air quality standards to the Indian government for these listed pollutants.
