I have worked in the computer industry over 30 years having spent 28 years working for Business Management Systems. At present I am working for Intact Software managing a super team of ERP consultants configuring all aspects of the brilliant iQ ERP system.Alongside this I have developed an Irish payroll package called PayDoc. A free trial can be downloaded from www.paydoc.ieI have managed a team of software developers and computer/network engineers for many years.During this time I have designed, developed and supported standard Accounting and Payroll Software packages. I have also developed catalog websites and have implemented online shops having developed software to automatically update the data from various data feeds. There are many other bespoke software development projects I have designed and developed. I have developed systems which interact with Intrastat, Vies, EFTS, EDI, ROS, REST API, SOAP and many more.As part of my role in BMS, I have been advising clients at all levels and selling to those clients computer systems ranging from networks and associated equipment, servers, computers, printers, anti virus solutions, mail management solutions, in fact all elements of computer equipment and software.In my personal time I have been a member of a Board of Management in a primary school for the past 10 years having held the position of treasurer for 8 of those years and currently hold the position of chairman. This is a challenging and rewarding role. We have managed the building of a new 16 classroom school and a two roomed playschool over those 10 years. With my expertise in the computer industry, I ensured that the school has been equipped with a cabling infrastructure and computer systems to see it well into the future. It is one of the most IT capable schools in the country today.In summary, I have a wealth of experience in many aspects of the computer industry.
