Duties involved: Senior site supervisor for the Phase 2 and Quarry ground investigations, comprising rotary core boreholes, trial pits, large man entry pits, long duration inundated plate load tests, down hole geophysics and soils and rock logging to BS5930. Supervision and co-ordination of a team of about 20 people including the site manager, engineering geologists and field technicians. In charge of quality control and quality assurance relating to the thoroughness of the field work including logging and sampling of the rocks and soils by the engineering geologists. Processing of ground investigation data. Production of ground models and data plots.Rumaila IPMT Project - IraqReviewing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports and laboratory data for various site investigations on the Rumaila oil field and providing assistance to the geotechnical team in the London office.Project Lindis – UKPoint of contact for the WorleyParsons Leeds team for any technical issues or queries including the review of the in-situ testing requirements. Work includes assessing previous ground investigation work, reviewing reports and drawings. Supervising site works including rotary core drilling, trial pitting and various in situ testing at numerous sites including river, road and rail crossings, landslide prone areas and karst stricken areas. Responsible for recording and analysing site data and producing technical reports contributing to the overall design of the project.
