Tim Molony’s adjusting career began in 1993 with State Farm, shortly after graduating from Louisiana State University. He worked on their National Catastrophe Operations and then moved to their Catastrophe Claims Central in Jacksonville, FL. In 2001, Mr. Molony joined State Farm’s Mold Or Other Fungi Team in Houston after Tropical Storm Allison. After leaving State Farm, he became an independent adjuster with an emphasis primarily in handling many total loss claims.In 2005, Mr. Molony accepted a job with Catastrophe Operations at CITIZENS Property Insurance Corporation in Florida. He was given the task of recreating Cat-Ops for CITIZENS. During the extremely busy 2004 Hurricane Season, CITIZENS found itself as front page news, while endeavoring to handle 130,000 claims. Complaints tracked by Department of Financial Services (DFS) were in excess of 10%. The previous year’s disappointments were only compounded by an active 2005 storm Season which produced an additional 180,000 claims. By the end of the 2005 storm season, CITIZENS’ customer service record had improved dramatically, bringing DFS’ complaints down to a low 1.3%, on par or better than many of the benchmark carriers. Mr. Molony helped to implement new technology and improve workflows, processes and protocols, including aiding in the construction of the current version of CTS, Claims Tracking System.Mr. Molony knowledge and experience in claims operations make him and excellent consultant and liaison who can assist our clients in both daily and catastrophe claims administration. Additionally, Tim serves as an umpire on commercial and residential property losses.

Managed the clean-up of the 2004 Hurricane Season's claims. Heavily involved in all aspects of Catastrophe Operations for Hurricanes Dennis, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma (180,000+ claims.) Managed all vendors and Independent Adjusters. Responsible for orienting, employing, and managing 2500+ Independent Adjusters and assisted in modifying the existing CTS (Claims Tracking System) to eliminate glitches and improve performance. Selected by State Farm Executive to manage the League City office. Assisted in managing two other offices. Led my unit to the highest production of all State Farm Mold Units in Texas over a two year period. Streamlined mold claim procedures which were adopted statewide. Trained new adjusters. Trained agents and Claims Dept. on new homeowner policies and mold endorsements. Interpreted policy language and aided adjusters in negotiating complex claims.

Managed independent adjusters handling mold losses.

Assisted Claims Reps on total loss estimates for commercial and residential losses. Ran commercial unit for Hurricane Floyd with losses in excess of $1 million. Created outline for current boat unit now in place for State Farm. Specialized in flood and large loss training.

Original member of newly implemented Catastrophe Operations. Handled wind, hail, tornado, hurricane, flood, ice storm, plumbing, business interruption and fire claims on all residential and commercial policies, including boat and manufactured home policies. Mentored other adjusters.

Utilized alternative dispute resolution to facilitate settlements when needed. Suggested changes to improve scene investigation efficiency that was eventually implemented nationwide.

Contacted policyholders for in-person review of services rendered and led feedback meetings to discuss this data with staff and management. Helped establish standards for CCC in-office claims.
