• Accountable for professional development of Infrastructure engineering, professional services and support staff in an international environment• Mentoring, guiding and developing senior architects, engineers and country-level managers• Defining and managing the career structure for the discipline• Built the Infrastructure discipline and Infrastructure Engineering capabilities across Europe and the Americas• Guiding management of staff / non-staff costs (promotions, training plans, etc), appointment/onboarding of country-level 'heads of'

Shaping and managing Cloud and Infrastructure services Supporting initial engagements with clients, including definition of approach, ratification of requirements and acting as a high level technical gating authority.

Line management of team managers, compensation setting, hiring

• Acting as a technical authority for server, storage and application infrastructure, providing thought leadership and guidance on technology adoption to external clients and internal stakeholders.• Creating and presenting project proposals for technical implementation projects to internal stakeholders and external clients• High level technical design, low level design and hands on mentoring of consultant and engineers implementing systems utilising various technologies, notably but not exhaustively including;o Datacenter hardware (Predominantly IBM xSeries or HP servers, HP/IBM/3Par storage arrays, Cisco or Brocade networking devices)o Active Directoryo Design and creation of group policy structure for enterprises, including for new server or client OS introductions/roll outs.o Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare vSphereo Windows and Linux server operating systemso Microsoft Exchange, SQL, TMG/ISAo Backup and archival/data protection technologies such as CommVault Simpana, Symantec Backup Exec and/or Enterprise Vaulto Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services
