The Danish Association of State Aid LawIt is a complicated but important intellectual challenge to test if you are acting in Compliance with the European Union State aid Rules. Therefore we have joined forces in the Danish Association of State Aid Law in order to increase networking between Academics; Lawyers; Civil servants, People employed in undertakings and students to develop our knowledge and understanding of how to apply State Aid Law and procedures in an effective and swift way. We need to enhance cross discipline network cooperation between people involved in state aid in the Kingdom of Denmark. This is even more important than in the past as the adopted State Aid reform package of the European Commission require Member States and decentralised Authorities to be able to handle state aid Questions and conduct self-examination of legal acts and public budget lines faced with EU Commission supervision and control of the Court in Luxembourg, national courts and private parties. There is an increasing need for knowledge and competence to handle the challenging questions: are my project covered by the notion of state aid, can it be cleared as compatible aid, how do I ensure compatibility and which procedure do I have to follow? This is why we have decided – in close cooperation between state Aid experts from the Federation of Danish industries, several Copenhagen law firm, the University of Copenhagen, the Copenhagen Business School and the Ministry of Business and Growth to establish a Danish Association of State Aid law. The Purpose of the Association is to disseminate knowledge of state aid law and procedures and be a Forum for professional dialogue and cooperation at the national and international level between Lawyers, Economist and others occupied with state Aid Law. We look forward to use the association to stimulate and strengthen the Danish professional environment for state aid dialogue and knowledge.
