I work closely with speech therapists to assist patients with communication and language disorders. This role requires a combination of teaching, assessment, and administrative duties. My primary goal is to support the Speech Therapist in providing effective care to patients with speech and language impairments, which includes these key responsibilities:1) Assist the Speech Therapist in the assessment of patients with speech and language impairments, by administering standardized tests and collecting data.2) Plan and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders, in accordance with the recommendations of the Speech Therapist.3) Provide specialized instruction in communication, language, and speech to patients, using a variety of teaching techniques and methods.4) Monitor and document patient progress regularly, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed, in consultation with the Speech Therapist.5) Assist the Speech Therapist in educating patients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and home exercises.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated care for patients with speech and language impairments.6) Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, including progress reports and treatment plans.7) Attend regular team meetings and participate in continuing education to stay current with developments in the field of speech and language pathology.
