👋 Hi, I'm Precious, and for as long as I can remember, my answer to the question of what I want to do has been a resounding "help people." This passion has been a constant thread throughout my life, from offering extra lessons to classmates in Primary school to co-organizing tech meetups as a core member of the Google Developer Students Group in University. I've always been a community person.🚀 My tech journey started with exploration—initially as a front-end engineer delving into the intricacies of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Over time, I transitioned to backend engineering, working with JavaScript, Python, and the Django framework. However, it was during my involvement in the Outreachy program, contributing to the CHAOSS project (Community Health and Open Source Sustainability), that I discovered a new path in tech: technical writing.💡 Through the CHAOSS project, I immersed myself in the world of technical writing, gaining hands-on experience updating Augur's documentation—a product under the CHAOSS umbrella. I revamped installation requirements, crafted how-to guides, addressed outdated information, and worked on making Augur's documentation more diverse and inclusive.🌐 As a constant contributor to the CHAOSS project and a member of the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) workgroup, I've come to appreciate the significance of fostering diverse and inclusive spaces. This understanding extends beyond the tech realm and influences communities I lead, such as the Pink Summer of Tech initiative since 2018, and my involvement in the local Google Developers Group.🌟 My career journey has been diverse, but at its core, I've translated my passion for helping people into action. Today, my focus in the tech world revolves around championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, fostering Community Health, contributing to Open-Source Development and Technical Writing.Let's connect and explore how we can make a positive impact together! #TechWriter #DiversityInTech#TechAdvocate #OpenSourceAdvocate #DEIChampion #CommunityBuilder
