Precious is currently a PhD researcher studying supramolecular chemistry, cancer therapeutics and patient public involvement at the University of Kent. Ultimately, Precious aspires to conduct research into treatments for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and, as someone who battles with a form of SCD called Sickle Cell Anaemia, she is incredibly passionate and determined to:- Raise SCD awareness in order to increase knowledge and research of the disease in various fields,- Bring and keep a strong patient-centred approach to the world of drug development and therapeutics,- Help people with both visible and invisible disabilities navigate their condition/s in the workplace, especially in STEM.Aside from this, Precious has worked in a range of fields including retail, customer service, tutoring, administration, and healthcare. Precious aims to use every skill and piece of knowledge she has gained, and will gain in the future, to inspire and help others.
