As the Managing Director for the Global OPM business at Interactive Pro, I am responsible for the acquisition, management, and business performance of university partnerships. I am an authentic leader, experienced with internationally distributed teams in highly matrixed organisations. I have a track record in academia (teaching and research) balanced with experience in private education, partnering with universities to launch and build their online brand globally.

Lead on new partner acquisition, partnership management and product strategy and development to deliver growth in online education. Take a market-driven approach to product development and align to growing areas, particularly in relation to the digital transformation across verticals.

Working on the CEO's Executive Team, I am responsible for envisioning and implementing strategy around the design and development of online Masters and Doctoral degrees with our University Partners - the University of Miami, University of Liverpool and University of Roehampton, London.My role involves working closely with partner institutions to review existing offerings, analyse the market, and design and develop new, differentiated and innovative online programmes. I collaborate with executives and faculty leaders from across the business and partner institutions to innovate in online programmes, enable growth and ensure partner satisfaction with products and services. This role requires dedication to partnership management; leadership of distributed teams; expertise in best practices in online learning and teaching; and knowledge of current and emerging trends trends that might enhance the student learning experience. These areas have converged in various areas, from designing a new themed online MBA with the University of Miami, or Big Data and Cyber Security programmes with the University of Liverpool, or at more granular levels such as the development and implementation of a Digital Capabilities framework.

Responsible for cultivating relationships with the University of Liverpool, providing high-level management oversight for the design and development of academic programs. Serving as the primary relationship manager between the the University of Liverpool and Laureate's 'Products, Strategy, Innovation and Development' (PSID) division, this role advises on trends and best practice in online education and oversees programme and course budgets.

This role involves a high level strategic view on the use of technology in supporting and enhancing learning, teaching and assessment. As well as influencing Faculty strategy related to TEL, I have worked as part of a Changing the Learning Landscape project influencing Institutional strategy. Early work has seen a significant audit of Technology Enhanced Learning in the Faculty, including staff and student surveys on the use of technology. Furthermore I am the academic lead for TEL in taught postgraduate programmes and CPD modules within the Institute for Learning and Teaching. This involves all stages of the module lifecycle from initial planning, QA procedures and implementation. I lead on all aspects related to blended and online delivery, including assessment.Work has focussed significantly in three key areas to raise the standards of TEL across the University, including: VLE minimum standards; Online submission, marking and feedback; and lecture capture. Other work involves pioneering open education, including the distribution of images (general and subject specific) under Creative Commons licenses via Flickr. This role acts as a key figure linking similar academic positions in each of the School in the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, as well as working alongside a dedicated TEL Support team. An external focus has recently led to chair the national Blackboard Medical Education Special Interest Group (BBMEDSIG).

This role involved teaching UG courses in the School of Computing, Maths and Digital Technology, as well as coordinating eLearning in the Faculty of Science & Engineering.The teaching aspect of this role covered all aspects of academic work, such as mentoring students, developing and delivering lectures and lab sessions, and the setting and marking of assessment work. The modules included multimedia design, multimedia development and eLearning multimedia.From an eLearning perspective, this role involved coordinating e-learning activities in a large faculty, including strategic development of learning technologies, development and facilitation of staff development programmes and curriculum development. Furthermore I supported the initial development of online CPD developments through the provision and management of an online platform, with consultation for development and delivery of online modules including curriculum development and online assessment.

This role involved a range of work, including: Working with course teams to (re)develop programmes with consideration of learning technologies, including completely online level 7 (masters level) modules; Conducting research and disseminating findings via conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications;Leading projects such as the implementation of online assessment tools (e.g. Turnitin) within the Faculty of Health. Managing the University VLE, including investigation and implementation of Blackboard Building Blocks;Delivering technical and pedagogical support in the use of learning technologies to enhance learning, teaching and assessment;I taught on the University PGCert in Teaching and Learning in HE, with a particular focus on Innovation, as well as a lead tutor and assessor for the BCS accredited 'Creative Digital Media' programme.

Manage and coordinate the HEA funded Pathfinder Project, and later, the JISC funded ReProduce Project. Both projects involved project planning, day-to-day management of project workpackages, report writing (to internal steering groups as well as funding bodies) and dissemination activities.Projects were completed on time and to budget, with a definite impact achieved across the University.

This role involved overseeing IT facilities in a large learning resource centre and liaising with various departments across the university to enhance the support of students and the overall student experience in relation to the use of IT facilities.
