• I have worked with the ACX580 drive product family. The basic idea of this project is to automate the functional testing of drive. Drive functions can be tested manually or by using test automation. The key advantages of using test automation are efficient testing, less human errors, more reliable, more powerful, and versatile.• The main objective of this project is to automate the test cases for the different functionalities of a low voltage variable frequency AC drive ACX580 manufactured by ABB. Performed manual testing for the Speed limit, Over-speed, fault function, EFB(Embedded field bus), Adaptive programming, Standard Digital Inputs, Analog Inputs, Extension IOs. Developed/fixed test scripts for the Speed limit, Over-speed, EFB in Automated Test Framework. Test scripts are run on Jenkins server and daily reports are analyzed for failures as a part of Continuous Integration of the software development cycle.• Commissioned ACS180 china drive and supported for wiring and also supported in resolving Earthing/EMC issues in the drive. Also, the drive model is created in MATLAB Simulink for verifying the speed limit functionality.• Tools: C sharp (C#) programming language for developing the test scripts, Visual studio software, Test runner to run the ATF test script, NI max, ABB Automation builder, Codesys, Drive Composer Pro – for manual and exploratory testing.
