Prevention of circulating apoptotic chromatin-induced DNA damage and its consequences using resveratrol-Cu complex.Overall, A new type of resveratrol analogue was studied for the reduction in chromatin levels and inflammatory markers induced due to various treatments such as injection of a chemotherapeutic agent, namely adriamycin and a cell wall component of bacteria namely lipopolysaccharide. Apart from these agents, direct injection of bacterial culture, dead mammalian cells and chromatin from these dead cells were injected in mice separately to study the rise in free chromatin levels and inflammatory markers. Further, it was also investigated whether the administration of resveratrol-Cu complex could reduce the increased levels of free chromatin and inflammatory markers and thereby reducing the lethality.
