About Preetesh Patel
My first customer facing role in IT was in London back in 2007, we were migrating users from Windows NT to Windows XP. I found it quite scary but confidence grew as the years passed. It was a long 16 hour day as not everything went to plan, but I enjoyed the work and I felt proud when we received gratitude from the customers we had migrated. It was after this day I knew I wanted to continue as a deployment engineer.When it comes to work I enjoy trying to solve problems that may occur, I kind of get a buzz when I manage to solve one. Most of my work is customer facing, so I enjoy connecting with people and ensuring all their concerns are eased when migrating them to a new device. I like to organise my workload so I have enough time to complete my daily tasks. I like to analyse processes and see if we can make them better.I spend most of my working day behind a computer and that doesn't stop when I'm at home, I like to do work on my Virtual Network to enhance the systems. I'm a huge Sci Fi buff and like watching reruns of Star Trek and Babylon 5. My wife and our 2 year old daughter are the other part of my life, I still can't believe how quickly my daughter has grown and how a person grows in 2 years is astounding, so proud to be a dad.I am currently looking to move into cybersecurity into the field of Ethical Hacking or a SOC Analyst role, I am currently studying EC Council Ethical Hacking course.
