My interest in psychiatry is not just a professional pursuit, but a personal journey as well. As a mental health survivor who has navigated the emotions and self-discovery that often accompanies the journey, I yearn to channel my own experiences and insights into a force for good, to help people and break the stigma around mental health issues. Throughout my career, my interpersonal and communication skills, and my extended focus beyond the conventional notion that prioritizes physical health, has helped me bring a small but great impact in my patients' healing journey. Waiting for patients to present with mental health issues seems inadequate, I view healthcare as a collective consideration of both physical and mental health. I aspire to contribute to the impact of mental well-being and make a meaningful difference in this world with my education and skills.
