About Preethika Rao
Hello! My name is Preethika Rao and I am currently a sophomore at UConn pursuing a degree in marketing. My interest in marketing was sparked by a desire to understand the promotional strategies behind my favorite performers and fan culture and is driven by a desire to learn what makes people tick, stay on top of trends, and discover new ways to engage and persuade consumers. As a future marketer in the digital world, I am interested in better understanding how to market products to a varied consumer base. Currently, I am looking for any summer internship opportunities that will expand on the skills I have learned in my marketing classes at RHS where I’ve been challenged to think critically through numerous group and individual projects applying core marketing concepts and theories.Outside of my academic pursuits, music is a large part of my life as I play both piano and flute. In my free time, I also enjoy working on my photography and graphic design skills, playing tennis, and reading.
