This was a great learning experience, got the opportunity to work with extremely talented and senior marketing executives learning many new skills in designing and creating new marketing campaigns. This was the first time where I got the chance to participate in the planning and launching of an event to increase brand awareness. One of the most important thing that I learnt from this experience was that the key factor in diagnosing a marketing problem lied in the deep analysis of consumer segments that the brand aims to target. Once we can figure out who we are trying to target then it becomes very easy to explore the channels to reach the targeted consumer base.

'Lucy' is an innovative leadership program at Macquarie University for all women students in the Faculty of Business and Economics. The Program aims to inspire, motivate and educate women about the opportunities available for employment and leadership in the corporate and public sectors. We aim to achieve this by establishing relationships between individual students and mentors, who are all professionals in the corporate, public and not for profit sectors.

Macquarie's Global Leadership program has been designed so that students can not only learn global skills and understanding - but also put them into practice by studying, volunteering and participating in activities in Australia and overseas.
