About Preety Sharma
I am a mixed race individual with indigenous roots; unlearning and relearning human-nature relations from perspectives of privilege vs deprived, colonial vs indigenous. My expertise lies in interdisciplinary action and research in the community based and/or led conservation work along with implementing sustainable solutions for people and place based issues in the rural and indigenous landscape of India. I am currently building my experience in Nagaland, my home state. My interest is in working with the youth, using indigenous knowledge systems and direct ownership and decision making in landscape level conservation action.
