Born and raised in the alpine city of Innsbruck, my interest in computerswas sparked when I got my first Commodore C64 from my cousin at the age of 14.After finishing Commercial College in Innsbruck,I started studying Economics and Geography at the University of Innsbruck, specializing in Geographic Information Services.During this period, I was recruited by SynerGIS CAD-INFO-SYSTEME GmbH, a subsidiary of SynerGIS GmbH, the general distributor for ESRI in Austria. Since then I accumulated extensive experience in a variety of fields: as a programming member in a large development team, software proOffice. All this time I am also a System Administrator responsible for the development environment for 17 employees (we primarily use Team Foundation Server / Visual Studio). As if this would not be enough, I founded a company to develop a computer game, and used much of my spare time to lead a little team of 2 developers, 1 game designer and 1 QA guy shaping a science fiction real time strategy game. However, the death of my Co-Founder and a severe lack of time put this project on ice for the time being. For now, I reverted to just playing games :)When I do not sit in front of a monitor, I love to go ski touring in winter, mountain biking in summer and travelling all year around, I recently started woodworking (on a small scale though) and enjoy everything that comes with the pleasure of having a dog.
