Preksha Bagrecha is the Founder and CEO of Welme, a Ahmedabad-based startup focused on making the world pain-free for all young girls, womxn and menstruators. Whilst pursuing her Master's Degree in Fashion Management, she indulged in understanding the core of visual aspects in branding and user experience. Her keen interest in the world of wellness made her enter Camex Wellness as a Business Development Manager. During Preksha's time at Camex Wellness, she honed her skills in healthcare assistance and nurtured her understanding about TENS- therapy, a scientifically-proven pain relieving technology. Preksha has always been inclined towards women’s healthcare, particularly menstrual wellness and fight against period-pain. This roots back to her own journey of dealing with dysmenorrhea that made her question “If we can’t escape periods, how about we have something to escape period-pain at least!” This thought prompted her to introduce Welme, a unique device based on TENS therapy that relieves period pain and operates at varying intensity; making it inclusive, adaptable and easy-to-use for all womxn. Preksha's learning at Fashion Management paved a way to making this device stylish and convenient, ensuring users are the core of complete product structuring. With Welme device, she envisions to empower womxn to live a pain-free, chemical-free and safe period. She is on a mission to de-stigmatize period conversations, making its knowledge accessible to all. She strongly believes that periods should not make a women live in a stressed and caged emotion.
