I have had a great time being part of the leadership team that led Maybank’s sustainability organizational development initiatives such as sector upskilling and business ideation. Have lead and organized numerous sector coaching programs to empower and equip the workforce of tomorrow with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to drive sustainable leadership and create a positive impact to our world. This includes the conceptualizing and co-creating the curriculum, planning and content development of the sustainability sector modules (Plantations, Oil & Gas, Power, Real Estate and Transportation), working with vendors and coordinating these classes across relationship managers from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam and Philippines. As a key achievement, i have successfully upskilled more than 800 employees in the region between 2023- 2024 with more than 90% of participants acquiring the confidence to have ESG conversations with corporate clients.Prior to joining the sustainability, last post being an Associate Director and having spent 37 years with Maybank Investment Bank, having multi-faceted experience in retail banking and investment banking, having developed investor education content , trained more than a thousand sales dealers covering topics in investment, broking and sustainability. My passion has also been working on retail equities business transformation projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and India.
