In 2007, I co-created the company Dharmafly, a social design and web software company based in Brighton, UK.Dharmafly was born of the intention to harness this new medium, the Web, for good works in the world. We've helped organisations explore new opportunities with web technology, advocated for open source and open data, and supported the wider community by establishing city-based projects and events. The company began by creating content-focussed websites for companies and charities, facilitated by a process to uncover and develop the brand language and user experience required. We evolved by honing in on the growing need for specialist web applications and the creative and technical disciplines they demand. In the same way as a film production company, Dharmafly is a network of creative and technical freelancers who group together around a project. We've won awards for our work and have created products for the BBC, The Guardian, the Science Museum and social enterprises like Participle. For each project, I assemble and manage the team of designers and engineers, and handle the full lifecycle of products, from conception to completion. We have created worked with a number of different programming languages and frameworks, and have a specialism in JavaScript-based browser apps and Node.js applications.Dharmafly’s projects: http://dharmafly.com/projectsOpen source code: https://github.com/dharmafly
