Duties involved the QC monitoring of the entire processing of products from raw materials to finished goods. All on-line checks were done, the finished products inspected by myself with a taste panel evaluation done weekly. All sampling and references controlled by myself. Any further documentation was implemented by myself with the approval of the QA Manager; I worked in conjunction with the supervisors and managers as well with the staff.Hygiene Audits:/Staff Training:This was done daily at end of shift, the QA Manager would do hers once a week and we would do this walkabout together and all documentation was handed to me to delegate to the various supervisors. This was also an added responsibility to train staff with reference to GMP’S and HACCP. I resigned, accepted a Supervisory post at Finlar Foods.

This was in-service training, where I was selected as part of a group of students to work from the Technikon. This was to gain experience and to be exposed to the industry.
