I have been part of Multimedia team and have been doing the following Have been working on Android multimedia framework for streaming video in a multi camera instance scenario and started to work for Linux systems.

I have been instrumental in working on Multimedia codecs - video, Multimedia middleware and lower layers of Multimedia here. My key contributions here include1. SiRF was one of the companies which was turning point in my career. It had laid the platform to transform me from a codec engineer to a system engineer and has given me exposure to work on various layers of multimedia. At SiRF I have been part of multimedia and Linux SOC team and have been working on the following.1. MP3 hardware Accelerated Decoder - work on audio algorithm and firmware for HW accelerators 2. Gstreamer Audio framework - Work on Audio codecs and gstreamer plugins for ARM11 based SOC3. SRC and scaling/mixing for Pulseaudio4. SBC Codec optimization for A2DP profile of Bluetooth5. Linux SPI driver as part of Linux SOC team - Develop and validate SPI master bus driver

Conexant had given me enough opputtunity to sharpen my skills related to DSP as well as systems. I had a oppurtunity to get started with noise cancellation algorithm and then moved to optimise the ILBC speech encoder and decoder. For some time I had time to experiment with MIDI polyphonic ringtone synthesizer development where I had an oppurtunity to develop the parser module for MIDI. Then I had jointly wored with DSP team and drivers team to develop and support the audio firmware for DSP. I succesfully integrated MP3, AAC and WMA decoders into the audio firmware by adding the feature addition to the firmware. Actively involved in fixing bugs related to the firmware and had an oppurtunity to see the control flow of an STB at the audio end. Then had an oppurtunitty to put some hands on for MP3 decoder.

Sasken has sharpened my optimisation skills for MP3 encoder and AMR NB speech codec. I had wonderful oppurtunity to develop and optimise the MP3 encoder modules for MDCT and quantisation independently on Toshiba platform. Also directly interacted to optimize the bit packing module for mp3 encoder. The Philips had given me oppurtunity to optimise the AMR NB on their coolflux processor.
