Working for a variety of projects as part of the Software Engineering and Architectures group, I have gained experience working the full stack of multiple web applications, including the Department of Energy's Home Energy Scoring Tool, and the Environmental Molecular Science Laboratory's Usage Systems.

As part of the Front End Application Development Team, I've had the opportunity to apply and expand my software and UI skills, while also seeing the full stack process in my projects.

Help coach distance runners on Kennewick High School's Track and Field and Cross-Country teams.

Serving as a substitute for the Kennewick School district focused my management and speaking skills into a new dynamic. Having classrooms filled with 5 year olds and others with 17 year olds, I was stretched and had fun learning about myself and education from a new perspective. Long term, I helped manage and tutor students at the alternative high-school in Fall/Winter 2017-2018, and taught secondary mathematics (my wheelhouse) Spring 2018. These long term roles gave me time to get to know the students I taught, and also challenged me with other work that comes with teaching, including grading and parent-teacher conferences. The opportunity to enjoy the flexibility of exploring teaching while continuing contracted work in other fields was an exhausting and worthwhile experience.

As a sole proprietor, I have had the opportunity to integrate my education and experience with computer science in researching development possibilities with ARM chips, including Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and BeagleBone. I also took on professional writings roles, ranging from drafting white papers (normally in LaTeX) to coding and developing (C and Java especially). As time allows, I accompany and perform as a musician for various events.

Having played piano for over 15 years, I took my first paid position as piano accompanist for vocal students. In contrast to my studies in both classical and jazz piano, which opened opportunities to performing at weddings and as background music at other events, dinners, and receptions, working as an accompanist has provided me with challenges in following a lead part and working to compliment and blend with the vocalists I perform with.

In August 2016, I returned to my position as a Regional Admissions Assistant for Covenant College. Coming back to the admissions office, I was given new responsibilities, including working with some prospective students in Africa. I further continue the same tasks I had before, such as cold calling, giving tours, meeting with visitors, writing emails en masse, and planning and scheduling various recruitment trips. Higher up, I also became more heavily involved with tours and presentations, working very directly with recruits, as well as some donors and board members. Continually stretching my network and promotional ability, I was happy to have a familiar role, with fresh challenges and learning opportunities.

My second summer on the Yakama Reservation presented me with both new and familiar challenges. Returning as a team leader, I oversaw and lead four different paint sites over the summer, while also working on roofing sites during weeks I wasn't leading. Toward the end of the summer, I took on the role of photography as well as filming and editing the videos for our last two teams; while leading my work site, I would also film the workers, and further take photos and videos at our Kids Clubs on the projects, and have the film for the week edited and completed by Saturday (see attached video link below).Outside these roles, I spent time researching Native American music and tonal patterns within the melodies of certain chants. This integrated my love with the people and music with my analytical skills in mathematics and computer science. The project showed a prevalence of the pentatonic scale in theirs, and other culture's, music. Culturally, this was an exciting find, consistent in the Native's goal to seek that which is naturally provided, a priori.

Working with Covenant College Visit Staff, I had to the opportunity to further my skills in communication and service with emails and phone calls, and also spend some time doing data entry. While not working at a computer and answering the phone, the highlights of my time would be in giving tours of the campus, engaging with visitors ranging from prospective students to alumni.

Working as Resident Assistant integrated my programming, organizing, and office skills with leadership in a heavily people orientated environment. As part of the job, I served a hall of twenty college men, regularly interacting with them in large group settings or in one on one conversations. This could involve leading discussions, meetings, and Bible studies, planning parties and events, working with administration and students in the need of disciplinary action, catching up over a meal, or simply jumping in on a Nerf-gun war.Aside from discipleship, I would also perform tasks for student development and administration by attending regular meetings and serving office hours. My jobs could include filing work orders for building problems, performing regular rounds monitoring hall activity, and helping plan and budget community building events on campus.

The Summer of 2015 thrust me into a new culture, new job, and a time of major growth. Transitioning from office life in admissions to outdoor grunt work in 105 degree weather (good ol'​ Eastern WA) was one thing, but the added pressure of learning and respecting the cultures within the Yakama Nation all while loving the children stretched me the extra amount. I would spend my days on roofs, under houses, and everywhere in between, supervising work teams. Quickly after, I'd rush to the projects for kids club to spend time with the children, play, teach stories, and show them a good time. The whole of the job was geared toward interacting with others and sharing love with them, in hopes of growing the reservation both economically and spiritually. Obviously, it was a summer full of fun, memories, and growth.

After a year working as a student admissions representative, I was promoted to help as an admissions assistant. The new position required, and taught me, leadership ability, as I would spend a weekly evening shift supervising other student workers, especially serving as a point of contact between them and the admissions counselors. I reported primarily to one counselor who assigned me projects varying from expense reports to calling prospectives to touching base with other workers during my supervising shift. In addition, I would on occasion work with the visit staff, working at a help desk or giving tours.

In July before my first year at Covenant College, I interviewed for and was offered a position in the admissions office. The job helped me grow in my speaking and conversational skills, as I spent most of my time talking on the phone and in person with prospective students, encouraging them along their application process and discussing their interests. I wrote several emails, helped compile expense and travel reports, sort files, and take visitors to lunch and host them in my room.

After graduating high-school, I was asked to help out as the summer preparations for marching band season began. This was a fun but challenging experience, having been drum major the year before, to go to teach people who were just recently my own peers. Over the course of band camp in August, I taught the woodwinds in sectionals, and helped the drum majors with their conducting skills. On the field in the afternoon, I would work with small groups and individuals, encouraging and guiding them as they learned to march.
