As the Technical and Resource Lead it is my job to keep our instructors and students up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends that reflect Entry to Mid-level web development job roles. I research new technologies and communicate with industry leaders and employers in the Kansas City and St. Louis area to help guide our program curriculum. Based off that information I write and implement new curriculum in to our current program to ensure that it is continually up to date and that our students are receiving training in the technologies that are most desired by area companies. As one of the area’s largest seminar companies helping to organizing and streamlining the daily operations of our seminars is the major bulk of my responsibilities. Once the requirements of the application are outlined the designing, development and testing of the application can then begin. I strive to make sure that every application I create not only meets but hopefully exceeds the end users expectations.

ROSnet (Restaurant Operation Support Network) works with a large number of national and international restaurants to help track and report on sales and performance. As a trusted IT provider one of their customers asked them to create a system which would allow the international chain to comply with open dissemination of available internal job openings efficiently to all company employees. Because of the tight timeframe that the project was to be completed ROS needed helped to get the site built and deployed. I was contracted to build what is now known as their StaffLinQ.com website.

As a web developer at emfluence I primarily supported a conglomerate of ColdFusion based web applications for a national group of greenhouses. Each site specifically focused on consumers, breeders, retailers, or growers as well as an e-commerce site.

Formerly Muller + Company. My responsibilities included translating business requirements provided by the client and graphical interface from the designer into a functional website. I was involved in client meetings, site design, back end programming, site deployment and training.

I specialized in .NET development technologies and Microsoft SQL Server programming. My responsibilities included the study of new software and programming languages, instruction of students and maintaining current industry recognized certification.

LabOne was converting all human resource functions over to a new Kronos system. Because of the national distribution of many of their employees I was hired to help create eLearning content to train employees on the functions and complex abilities of the new HR system. In addition to being informative the training system was to assess employee completion and comprehension of the training material. After three months of content research and system planning the purchase of LabOne by Quest Diagnostics was announced and my position was dissolved.

After starting at New Horizons in 2000 I quickly worked my way up the instructor ranks. Being very diligent in knowing the material that I was teaching and being able to interact and understand my students’ needs at their level I was recognized as one of the top instructors in our center. I specialized in web development and graphics applications and technologies including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, HTML, XML, CSS, ColdFusion, classic ASP and JavaScript. Due to serious financial struggles of the company I had to take a drastic reduction in pay which led to my need to seek other employment.

Teaching general topics, cooperative planning of units with other fourth and fifth grade teachers, coordination of special events and field trips.

Taught general science topics, coordinated lesson planning and activities with the rest of the sixth grade team.
